From Solar Panels in
Dubai to Carbon Capture
in Finland
My journey into sustainability started on rooftops in Dubai, designing solar PV systems at Sharaf Energy. There was something deeply satisfying about turning sunlight into clean power for real buildings in a city that was transforming around me.
That early curiosity led me to Finland, where I pursued a Master's in Smart Energy at the University of Vaasa. My research took me deep into Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage, resulting in a published article exploring how industrial-scale CCUS could actually work. It was academic, but grounded in a question I kept asking: how do we bridge the gap between climate ambition and measurable action?
Back in the UAE, I brought that question into every role, from energy management at TotalEnergies to clean energy analytics at Alpha Data X. Today, with the UAE's Federal Climate Law creating new compliance requirements for every major company, the demand for engineers who can both model the numbers and execute the strategy has never been higher. That is exactly where I work best.
